Decision spotlight is where all the action happens once a decision is created and is in progress. Participants will spend all most all the time on this screen for a given decision. Following insights & capabilities are available;

  • Conversation: Participants on the decision get to share and express their opinions, offer data points and generally have a conversation. Participants should user conversation to effectively influence the direction of the decision.
  • Team Alignment Factor: Is an indicator of how aligned the team is. This is calculated based on sentiments expressed by the participants in the decision conversation.
  • Team Vocabulary: Is a word cloud of frequently and highly used words. This is many times, a good indicator of consequences, challenges, landmines that participants are expressing repeatedly.
  • Positive & Negative Sentiments: From the conversation, Athena can bubble up strong positive and negative sentiments expressed by the participants. 
  • Facts: Any data based points that a participant brings up.
  • Activity Trends: Depicts how active the decision is - comments, followers, updates.


The goal of the spotlight, ultimately, is to cut the noise, focus on key inputs from the participants and offer the decision owner a summarized yet crisp perspective.


Spotlight is updated on a nightly basis. In order for a decision to be qualified for spotlight calculations, it should at least have 5 contributions on the conversation.
